They wanted to kill it, and they did, along with the future of nearly 700,000 Americans. The bill failed today with with only 56 votes in favor out of the 60 needed. I guess I'm not going to college after all, or serving the army through military. I'm about go walk... Don't expect new posts for a while. I feel like my life just came to a stop, but I'll keep my head up, and search for another way to excel. In the meantime, just show support for those whose dreams were deffered.
Woohoo for the deffered
ReplyDeletefucking republicans
ReplyDeletewow thats really sucks man
ReplyDeleteThe current politicians in office only care about the interests of their friends. The entire city consul where I grew up is either currently doing hard time or is being audited by the feds for corruption. Hooray democracy.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that what MLKJ named his book in the boondocks? lol random.
ReplyDeleteWhich bill failed exactly? I missed this one.
ReplyDeleteThe dream is gone. We can only dream my friend. Reps are going crazy.
ReplyDeleteGood luck bud, hope it works out for you

ReplyDeleteShit man I had a feeling this would happen. But I though you can gain citizenship through the army? or maybe join FFL and become a French Citizen?
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear dude, I'm sure you'll find a way
ReplyDeleteIt sucks, but life is what you make of it. You can't base your whole future off of one bill. You'll make it, and you'll find a way.
ReplyDeleteWhat's funny is that a majority of senators supported opening the bill for debate. But, because of republicans, this country no longer works on majority rule.
ReplyDeleteSucks man.
ReplyDeletefeelsgoodman
ReplyDeleteDang, sucks to hear dude.
ReplyDeleteSorry :/ keep your head up!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's so close. It's incredible it even got that far. Give it another go man, it's not impossible! I think we're on the edge of massive political reform. If Dems can keep a stong standing this and next political season, we will see a TON of great changes happening. Mostly thanks to the internet, really.
ReplyDeleteall this makes me happy I'm Canadian
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear. What exactly got shot down in the political system?

ReplyDeleteUnited States Naturalization Steps
ReplyDeleteSteps In the Naturalization Process
Step 1: Fill Out N-400
Get the Application for Naturalization (N-400) and fill it out completely. Do not leave out any information, since an incomplete application will delay the process of naturalization. At the interview you could be asked questions based on your application, so be clear and honest. Keep a copy of the application with you.
[Download the N-400 Application]
Step 2: Get 2 color photographs.
The photos must be U.S. passport sized (2" x2" or 5 x 5 cm), color or black and white on a light/white background and no head coverings unless for religious reasons. The photograph must be clear with a full front view of your face with the size of the head from chin to top-of-head and not smaller than 2-cm. Also the photo should taken within the last six (6) months. (refer to photo requirements in the USCIS guide)
Step 3: Photocopy Documents
Photocopy of your green card and other documents required (refer to the guide for details). Remember to send a copy and not the original. You will be required to carry the original documents with you for the interview. If there is any document that is not in English, get a translated version and attach that with the original document.
Step 4. Send Your Application Package
Send your application, fees and documents to the appropriate service center. The guide gives you more details on where to send your application. The fee ($390) for application and fingerprinting has to be in the form of check or money order, no other form of payment is accepted.

ReplyDeleteIt's not like it was a LANDSLIDE defeat, so who knows, things may change in the future. You are still pretty young. I think.
What I am saying is, don't let this be a major hurdle on your track.
